The whole site is HTTPS. The most sensitive identifiers (passport, SIN, IRCC number) are encrypted at rest in the database.
A firm's data sits in a separate file. A firm can never see another firm's files.
Before any data entry, the client sees a screen explaining what is collected, by whom and why, and must consent. Each firm has its own privacy policy.
Passwords are hashed (bcrypt). A temporary lockout blocks repeated attempts.
Daily backups, encrypted (AES-256).
For agent accounts, VoletPro is the controller. For the firm's clients' information, the firm is the controller and VoletPro acts as a processor, on its instructions, never using that data for any other purpose.
